Some of San Diego's most beautiful sites. Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, Coronado, Mission Beach, and the coves at La Jolla are among the many tourist-packed strands of warm sand along San Diego's coastline. Farther inland, Balboa Park sprawls, housing numerous museums and picnic areas. There are also hiking parks such as Torrey Pines and Mission Trails.

Located a in Harbison Canyon, close to Crestridge Ecological Reserve, this two-story farm house is traditionally the home of the local Oba. Multiple bedrooms are always open for any hyenas needed a place to call home.

A secluded area in the canyon on the Oba's property, frequently the home of mule deer for the cackle to hunt. All new initiations take place here. A large rock den captures the attention of any who enter the space - this serves as the Oba's stage during ceremonies. Smaller dens for post-hunt resting are also set into the rocks.

An 18+ strip club. This isn't your average joint - a collars-and-slacks dress code and tight security ensure that only well-mannered (and dressed) clients get in to see the performers. There are two main stages - one for female performers, one for males - in addition to several private rooms in the back. There is a website which lists the stars of the night, in addition to managing the mailing list and the fan clubs for individual performers. There are also occasional fetish nights and/or BDSM nights.

The newest thing to hit San Diego - karaoke! The Cat's Meow features chic leather chairs and booths, with the tables lit by candlelight. Tropical fish swim in large tanks around the room's black and red decor (with silver highlights), and there is a fully serviced bar. There is an office in the back for administrative purposes.

The main house holds nine bedrooms, a home theatre, and four fireplaces, and there is also a two-bedroom guest house. An underground path leads to the underground pool and a two-lane bowling alley and game room, while above ground a Roman spa, another pool, a barbecue, and a tennis court can be found. There's also a sizable gym (including a boxing ring) and a 15-car garage full of the Rex's prized possessions, but still with enough space for the rest of the Pride's vehicles.

The sprawling Mediterranean-style estate rests on eight acres, fully enclosed by a two-story stone wall and accessibly via only two electronic gates. A full staff of highly-scrutinized employees work on site, two of whom live in the caretaker's quarters, including a 24/7 security force, a butler/chauffeur, a cook, two housekeepers, and a groundskeeper. The Rex has paid handsomely to secure a "no-fly-zone" over the property, so to put it simply, none of the Pride need worry about any of the goings on in their home or on their lands ever being made public knowledge.

The Warrens is the ironic name for the large and imposing estate that is home to most of San Diego's Rodere. The main house covers most of the estate, but since it borders on Mission Trails Regional Park, there's still plenty of room to roam over and under. There is an empty stable on the property, and a creek hidden by a curtain of willow trees. There is fish and game to be had all around, and a network of rat tunnels stretching under the property and well into the park.

Located in San Diego's Old Town, Jalisco's offers a mean enchilada and an even meaner margarita. Anyone looking to conduct business with the wererats can find them here most days, managing the restaurant and chatting with the patrons. The restaurant is also the public address and phone number for the Rodere, since the Warrens are only for close friends, allies, and the rats themselves.

A plain utilitarian door with a sign marked 'Employees Only' leads to wide stone steps that descend into forgotten catacombs beneath Le Theatre. At the base of the stairs is one large chamber, with many rooms branching off from it like spokes from a wheel. The construction is stone brickwork, but the antechamber is hung with wine-colored silk to warm the cold grey of the walls, and the carpet is a thick, plush charcoal grey. The antechamber also contains a black leather couch and four matching chairs. There are enough rooms for every vampire in the kiss, all with identical coffins, and the lair is fully decked out with modern conveniences.

Ashanti Pride

Le Théâtre Noir is a restored historic relic from the days of grand movie theatres and play centers of the roaring twenties. The lovely old theatre has been restored and updated to accommodate more modern performance and theatre arts pursuits. It now boasts a state of the art sound and lighting system. The décor is a rich and luxurious mixture of velvet, dark woods, and gold leaf over hand carved lintels. Le Théâtre now houses one of the first permanent Vampire Performing Arts Groups. The motley band of musicians, dancers, singers, and actors call themselves Masqued Mystique. The Theatre is now home to all kinds of performances: ballet, opera, musicals, and the occasional play.

A quiet but exclusive cocktail bar where the highest echelons of society can normally be found, the Blood Den also caters to preternaturals as well as to those whose carnal desires tilt towards the otherworldly. Dimly lit to create an intimate environment and open only in the evenings, the Blood Den is furnished with black leather stools and couches. For those who are lucky (or unlucky) enough to be allowed to venture in further, there are two more spacious bars as well as private rooms - perfect for private parties of the rich and powerful or perfect for activities of a much darker nature.
